Hello everyone. Ive been coding with Claude Sonnet and Opus for 6 months now and I really appreciate the quality of code it provides (need to review everything of course).
I have a MacBook Pro M4 Pro with 48GB Ram and I installed MLX with Open Code few days ago. I installed this model mlx-community/Qwen3-Coder-30B-A3B-Instruct-4bit and it respond pretty quickly when I as question in Open Code. But if I ask him to create a project, it freezes/stops with no errors. I'm not sure if the problem is happening Open Code's end or MLX's end. I also had problem where I consumed all my ram.
What is the best MLX set up for replacing Clause Sonnet 4.6 for coding on MacBook Pro M4 Pro 48GB Ram ?
